Camp 2016

Hawaiian Week – Thursday – June 30th

Rain Rain Go Away!!

We started the morning in the garden with harvest day! Campers split up in four groups and harvested garlic, peppers, beets, rainbow chard, squash, and cherry tomatoes!

In the afternoon we made meals for Campus Kitchen. The campers made everything cracker chicken tenders, broccoli slaw, couscous salad, and chocolate zucchini bread for dessert! Campus kitchen is a community service for students, empowering the youth to combat hunger specifically to us, the Saint Louis Area.

Unfortunately we did not get to go to the pool due to the weather but the children put on healthy food advertisements for guest judges, did wacky relay races, and food bingo to make up for the lost time.
